2006 - Savings Account
Whenever I save a nickel or dime
or a grand or two i skip out for a time
a trip to beach town
where i live dawn to dawn
daily walks in the sand
till my money is gone
and then back i go
sun-bleached hair and a tan
to the slush and the snow
and my st. louis man
and i promise to stay
and to save up my dough
for the day i turn gray
and have no place to go
well i’ve stayed and i’ve saved
i have almost ten grand
go to hell golden years
i’m heading back to the sand.
